I walked for 2 hours from our home at the north end of Ocean Blvd to the Jetty and through Barview Jetty Campground.

I walked for 2 hours from our home at the north end of Ocean Blvd to the Jetty and through Barview Jetty Campground. Only one hour (combined observation and reporting) was spent on Mile 290. Beach condition was typical, with no concerns noted.

Temperature: 57 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 3.2 feet.

Number of people: 26. Number of dogs: 4. Walking or running: 11. Playing in sand: 12. Sitting: 2. Fishing: 1.

Dead Fish or Invertebrates
1 dead flounder at ocean edge
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces, Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.). Very small accumulation of land and ocean based debris. See photo.
Actions & Comments
Picked up garbage. Extreme erosion is not in evidence on this section of beach, unlike the portions of Magruder in Mile 291. Nothing else concerning observed.
