This report contains observations of Pine Beach Loop and the north and central sections of Camp Magruder, as I pass those on the way to Mile 290 and have been monitoring and submitting info on PBL activity for OSCC.

This report contains observations of Pine Beach Loop and the north and central sections of Camp Magruder, as I pass those on the way to Mile 290 and have been monitoring and submitting info on PBL activity for OSCC.
Conditions
Temperature: 50 F. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 1.7 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 40. Number of dogs: 6. Walking or running: 19. Playing in sand: 17. Sitting: 6. Cars/trucks parked at Barview Jetty.

Driftline Content
Small rocks, Shells, Wood pieces.
Man-made Modifications
Dune modification/removal, Beachgrass planting or removal, New riprap or shoreline protection structures. New beach grass planting and significant erosion at Pine Beach revetment installation, bluffs have increased from 6 ft to 10-12 ft.
Natural Changes
Newly exposed roots/trees falling, Erosion of vegetated foredune, Visible retreat of solid bluff, Evidence of wave overtopping. 30+ trees down at Magruder beach front, many more at the edge or about to fall. Bluffs have eroded considerably during recent weeks and height has increased from 6 ft to 12 ft. Large logs pushed 30 ft up inclined paths.
