There were at least 20 fire rings at the Oceanside wayside beach, none in current use.

There were at least 20 fire rings at the Oceanside wayside beach, none in current use.The notched log that is likely tsunami debris is still just south of the tunnel, up against the dunes. The rock cairn north of the tunnel, that was present in January but gone in May is back again in the same place.

Notable Wildlife
Tagged turkey vulture eating dead pelican on Oceanside beach. (red tag with white writing). Heard from another birder that this is likely the TV that was banded on Bay Ocean spit in July 2013, and has been seen in the area again this summer. Six oystercatchers, 2 osprey, many juvenile Western gulls, pelicans, cormorants. NO starfish at all, although tide was too high to permit visual of most beds

Debris from landslide now cleared and tunnel is accessible again.
