There were quite a few people for a weekday, walking, skimboarding and playing in the sand.

There were quite a few people for a weekday, walking, skimboarding and playing in the sand. We saw a family, including children, in wetsuits walking north of Maxwell point, near the cave. There were 15 fire rings but fewer dogs than usual. We saw shallow water with high algae content high on beach. There were three adult breeding dead common murres.

Number of people: 70. Number of dogs: 3. Walking or running: 50. Playing in surf: 2. Playing in sand: 10. Sitting: 10. Photography: 10. Other Activities: a family in wetsuits. 15 fire rings on beach south of Maxwell point, many more than usual.

Notable Wildlife
Oystercatchers, California and Western Gulls. Few starfish. More algae than usual on beach, in shallow water

Total dead birds: 3. Common murres
