Report Details

Beach was super clean -- probably from high winter tides. Beautiful day but no people at b each (4 dune buggies in park). South end of dunes at northern section of Sand Lake entrance more eroded than I've ever seen before. Also, bigger waves in lake than usual. Still eroding campground areas putting a lot of rock & trees into lake.

Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 1.0 feet.

4 dune buggy riders north of line

ATVs/OHVs on beach, allowed: 4.

sea gulls, sandpipers (small)

Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.).

Natural Changes

Entrance to Sand Lake shifted north cutting into dunes severely

Sand Lake entrance to ocean shifting dramatically to the north - no longer possible to walk around end of dunes from lake to beach.
