Human Activities
Although Mile 264 is actually my CoastWatch mile, I was walking on the beach covering Mile 265 on February 9th and discovered damage from off-road driving on the Sitka Sedge dunes. This is of concern as the public's ability to drive on this beach is being debated. I have submitted my photos to the OPRD (Oregon Parks & Recreation Dept).
Concerns
Actions & Comments
I have submitted comments and my photos to the OPRD debating the public's access to this pristine beach.

Mile 265
South Spit, Sand Lake
There has been an increase in people using this beach due to the lack of parking on the beach in Pacific City, a more general awareness of Tierra del Mar, and more access trails from Sitka Sedge.
