A glorious Indian Summer day on this pristine beach. The gulls and brown pelicans had it all to themselves.

Conditions

Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 4.5 feet.

Human Activities

Number of people: 1. Sitting: 1. There were eight boats fishing the mouth of the Salmon River.

Notable Wildlife

Six brown pelicans. About 130 gulls in various plumages were standing in a close group. About half the gulls were Heermann's. The rest were glaucous-winged and Western.
