A significant number of people appeared for such a remote mile. Spotted an entire tree deposited on shoreline, as well as clumps of mussels.
Conditions
Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: SW.
Human Activities
Number of people: 27. Number of dogs: 3. Walking or running: 27. Photography: 2. Other Activities: holding hands 4. When I arrived, there did not appear to be anyone about. By the time I left, all these folks showed up along the beach to be counted.
Notable Wildlife
Several kelp washed ashore with fronds in tact. A tree, uprooted lay about 30 feet long at the debris line.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Unusual concentration. Clusters of young mussels clung to bundles of (both red and green) seaweed, just oceanside of the debris line.
