For it being a rainy first day of spring break the beaches were pretty busy.

For it being a rainy first day of spring break the beaches were pretty busy. The work being done at the "D" River parking lot may be casue severe damage to the Northwest corner of the parking lot seawall. A large portion of the wall has fallen since survey in January.

Number of people: 149. Number of dogs: 9. Walking or running: 145. Playing in surf: 4. First day of spring break, SOLVE spring beach clean up day, it was a busy day in Lincoln City. Even with the rainy weather the beaches were pretty busy

Total dead birds: 3. no tags on the birds as they looked to be freshly deceased

Small rocks. Lots of rocks along the north end of the mile
New Development
There is some type of underground power line work being done in the parking lot of "D" River..

The seawall at the river looks to have major damage possibly from the work being done on the parking.

The season of warming weather has brought more people to mile 242. We would appreciate Lincoln City sending out a stronger message for people who are searching for floats.

The winter storms have caused erosion with the 242 mile. It was a beautiful, sunny day filled with people and dogs exploring this stretch of mile 242.

We found some type of plant tuber, four total, North of D Sands. Graffiti was noted on a boulder north of D Sands. Of the dead birds, 51 were south of D Sands, and 10 were north. Our team collected a 3-gallon bag of marine debris.
