Washed up blue velella velella (by-the-wind) jellyfish were seen earlier in June (unusual concentration photographed June 3 is attached).

Natural Changes

The north bank along the Siletz has a steep sand bank now, that wasn't there a few days ago.

This was the first sunny and warm day of spring, and lots of visitors filled the beach; almost like a summer day! Significant sand erosion had recently occurred and many logs have been moved higher onto the beach.
