Report Details

A high water event occurred on Jan. 18, 2018. Waves came up the the bottom of the steps at beach access #48 and deposited new sand a few steps up. Water entered the parking lot (up the ramp) at Canyon Drive City Park (#46), and the Inn at Spanish Head had sand deposited on its lower level wrap-around porch and had to board up all its lower windows. Mo's Clam Chowder house was flooded inside, along the Siletz River (and was closed for weeks afterwards).
