Report Details
Calm, partly cloudy day. More visitors than usual on the beach. Very little trash. A number of Dungeness crab shells noted in the wrack line, but they appeared to be molts, not due to any trauma.

Notable Wildlife
Small group of 25+ harbor seals in their normal resting area. A few more spotted in the river mouth.

Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt).
Natural Changes
Interesting low tide sand bar patterns, but this has been observed before.

Not a bad fall day for a walk with our out-of-town visitors, but walking the beach was impossible due to the high tide and big waves, which were reaching the beach grass area and bouncing large pieces of driftwood around.
