It was a pleasant, cloudless, and mild day. The site was busy with visitors but clean. No violations were observed and no major increase in site erosion, but there were several places where the fencing had been torn apart. All violation, interpretation, and warning signs were thankfully intact. At least one fishing boat was offshore, two grey whales were feeding 50-100 yards offshore, ravens (?) and western gulls were present, as well as one pair of nesting black oystercatchers.
