Actions & Comments
Reported clearing of property on sandstone bluff, overlooking Little Whale Cove, to property manager. Recently purchased property had path and overlook to edge of bluff cleared of riparian growth. Property manager stated that property owner would be contacted and advised that clearing of land along the bluff is ill advised, threatening nearby properties in that area. We discussed a suggestion that the property owner be encouraged to take a look at Fishing Rock and the homes that have lost frontage, partially due to removal of riparian growth and being built too close to the edge of the bluff, resulting in their having to move their homes back at least 50 feet.Property manager further stated that there were State Lands people she could bring in to talk to the property owner. This had been effective in previous situations of similar nature.
