Rocky Creek State Wayside, Whale Cove

Both the Whale Cove beach and Rocky Creek wayside were in good condition as usual, however there were rubber surf boards and a downspout that were found both on the beach below the houses on the bluff and hung up among small vegetation on the cliff in between the houses and the beach.

Both the Whale Cove beach and Rocky Creek wayside were in good condition as usual, however there were rubber surf boards and a downspout that were found both on the beach below the houses on the bluff and hung up among small vegetation on the cliff in between the houses and the beach. Aparently wind had carried items from the yard of a resident, littering the beach below. Only two items were found that were likely washed up from the sea: a buoy and some netting. Evidence of a recent fire on the beach was present.

New Development
Steps down bluff. Railing on ladder to Whale cove beach was repaired following damage from high waves in January.
Actions & Comments
Debris that would fit into the collection bag and could be carried up the vertical ladder on Whale Cove beach was removed.
