Human activities - 2 walkers observedWildlife - Observed 1 live Pigeon Guillemot (flying from bluff to water); small groups of Western Gulls; a few American Crows. One dead Rhinoceros Auklet.Physical Changes - Eroding bluffs. Will monitor over time.

Temperature: 59 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Tide Level: 4.5 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 2. Walking or running: 2.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 1. Rhinoceros Auklet. No leg band. Lying on beach near tide line. No visible cause of death.
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces. Only litter spotted was a pop can, which I removed.
Natural Changes
Visible retreat of solid bluff. Bluffs are eroding and sand/ soil exposed in places. At least one house on bluff (southern part of Mile 210) is quite close to eroding edge.

We have noticed that during the winter storms the sand on the beach moves (presumably offshore) and then is redeposited during spring.
