7 seals on an off shore rock, lots of gulls, cormorants, one black oyster catcher. SOME LIVE AND HEALTHY LOOKING SEA STARS!
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
noticed some sick sea stars in the middle of the mile, those at the south end looked healthy. Not many on the north end.
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass.
Actions & Comments
Back in June, I noticed what looked like a total removal of mussels and barnacles on the lower half of some of the rocks on the very north end of the mile. I took pictures at that time and sent them to the shellfish person with ODFW but never heard back. Today it didn't look like any more had been removed. I will include pictures.
