Report Details

Fun to see the spout of a whale just beyond the surf at the southern border of Mile 194 this morning! Enjoyed observing a group of striped shore crabs as they were feeding and dancing/hiding. A group of four black oystercatchers were quite vocal today! Only a small tote bag of litter was retrieved today including small styrfoam, two small rope fragments and one hard plastic top. No plastic water bottles today! : )  One small dead bird was found at 44.316 degrees N, 124.108 degrees W without sign of obvious trauma, oiling, or entanglement. See photos.
