This is a beautiful, little-visited stretch of beach. ATVs can be heard from the adjoining recreational area, and two seem to have encroached into the prohibited area at the south end of Mile 167.

Temperature: 54 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 6.2 feet.

Other Activities: Two ATVs strayed north of the sign near Parking Area 1 that seems to say only street legal vehicles are allowed. (The sign is ambiguous. See photo.) ATVs operating south of this sign are rather noisy.. Few people come to this stretch of beach.

In the drift line found 1 live crab, shell 6"-7" across.

Found and picked up big plastic containers (motor oil, soda and water) also 2 1/2 x 2 12 x3 12 ft.

Some small litter, picked it up, filled one plastic grocery bag.

There was absolutely nothing to report except for two people on the beach with a dog, a small group of gulls along the tide line.

Remarkably clean beach, only one plastic water bottle seen.
