Report Details
It was relatively quiet on the beach with moderate activity. Every one seemed laid back and the dogs were well behaved. It was very low tide and I counted 97 Sea Stars on the jetty rocks, both purple and orange. Most were in the 4" to 6" range, some were 2", a few larger ones were also on the rocks. There were two that seemed different, please see photos. There were a lot of quarter size jellies(?) See photo. There was also a larger 12" jellyfish.I did the is it a sea lion or bird thing for a long while with binoculars and decided-birds. I don't think seagulls, maybe cormorants. One vulture on the jetty. Does not seem to be a lot of winter erosion; seems like driftwood is a little heavier.
