There appears to be a sunken vessel at approximately the south end of Mile 129, possibly in Mile 128.

There appears to be a sunken vessel at approximately the south end of Mile 129, possibly in Mile 128. Informed by Ryan Parker, beach ranger, that it is the Sara Jo. Tide was coming in and I was not able to get a good close up photo with my Droid. Photo accompanies report.

Cloud Cover: Rain. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 3.1 feet.

Disturbances: Shorebirds moving in response to humans/dogs

Wood pieces, Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.). Looks like an old rusty fishing vessel buried in the shoreline sand. See photo.
