Quiet day.
Report Details
Quiet day. No visitors. Found a solid black chunk of "wax" probably "oil" or perhaps "coal". Kelp, shells, animal casings and small rocks in driftline. Section of a wrecked ship exposed on the beach. Some shorebird activity. MAJOR winter storm erosion of foredune leveling Plover and Abronia habitat.

Temperature: 45 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 6.0 feet.
Human Activities
quiet day. lots of foredune erosion since last report. Plover and (special status) Abronia umbellata all removed by wave action.

Nothing unusual with only a few people present (5) and 2 dogs.

Continued high tides, carrying a prodigous amount of sizable timber, have battereed the foredune so badly that it appears sculpted in places.
