Report Details
We were attracted to the mile because we saw hundreds of birds taking flight at once only to discover when we got to the edge of the overlook that two separate individuals were approaching a still large flock of Brown Pelican and gulls resting on the beach. In all they scattered 2/3rds of the flock that could have originally numbered 1000 birds. The offshore rocks at Mile 101 are very crowded with them.
