It was a gorgeous day at the coast and there were several people out enjoying the atmosphere. The main issue that we noted at Cape Meares is the lack of trash cans--there was quite a bit of litter, but nowhere for people to throw things away--even at the picnic site.

We noticed several people that appeared to be clamming (or something similar) at one of the access points. We plan to research for next time if this is something allowed at the site (a wildlife refuge).

There were a lot of visitors from all over the USA and Canada, enjoying the park, interested in how the Oregon coast was doing after the bad wind storms earlier this year.
