saw tire tracks on the beach in front of the access point-not sure from what vehicle-may be a Camp Win-Ne-Ma permitted vehicle

Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.)
wooden pallet covered with mussels and barnacles above the drift line beyond the cave

Though overcast many people were enjoying their beach time including a lady from TX.  I will keep an eye on the wooden pallet covered with barnacles and mussels—it's too heavy for me to lug off the beach alone.

There is very little change to the sand or dunes along mile 256. The most remarkable observation was of the number of Velella Velellas and their large size.

About 20 feet of shoreline retreat due to erosion visible at Camp Winema. Picked up plastic debris and other trash.

A lovely day for walking even though it was quite windy and a little cool. Large group from Camp Winema on beach. Lot of children running around.

Enormous amount of log limbs and sticks. Indications a lot of it had been washed down via streams or just off the hillsides then all along the beach.
