Report Details

Approximately 50 people were on the beach with 10 dogs, most on leashes,  Perhaps 5 dogs running loose but all within close proximity to their owners.  No dogs were chasing any wildlife.   Several people were observing marine life on the Ghost forest stumps incuding many healthy looking Sea Stars.One Bald Eagle flew south and several crows were in the trees.   The driftline was normal  with the minimal  human caused trash.

Actions & Comments

It was a  good day to observe the Ghost forest stumps with a -1.4 tide.  Many sea stars attached to the exterior and interior of the forest stumps.  There were no signs of any Sea Stars missing appendages.  One Bald Eagle flew south over the beach.The trash containers on both sides of the rest room building in the parking area were overflowing upon arrival and same upon departure 4 hours later.  The rest rooms were not in good shape as well.  It was obvious many visitors had been utilizing the area over the weekend.There were two occurences observed of raw dog feces and 2 occurences of dog poop bags on the beach.Other than the trash receptacles in the parking area, there was minimal human caused trash on the beach.
