This is always such a clean beach, but I've started collecting non-biodegradable debris, and it has slowed me down and made me a lot more observant.

This is always such a clean beach, but I've started collecting non-biodegradable debris, and it has slowed me down and made me a lot more observant. Today I picked up a full bag of trash: mostly soda cans and styrofoam.

Total dead birds: 7. 2 unidentifiable; two decimated1 murre1 grebe4 gull-like, gray birds with distinctive beaks (ivory and yellow, fluted) and long, pointed, white spindly feet (not webbed) - Northern Fulmars? (I will send e-mail with photos)

Storm damage for this mile seems mostly at Laurel/Sijota; Morris Excavation has built a roadbed parallel to the bluff for equipment access; some erosion at World Mark, north of state park.
