Lots of driftwood - some very large trees and stumps.

Lots of driftwood - some very large trees and stumps. Otherwise a very clean beach and quiet day. Vegetative collapse on bluff most visible on north end of my mile.

Temperature: 52 F. Cloud Cover: Rain. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: S. Tide Level: 0.2 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 5. Walking or running: 3. minimal!

Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 2.
Driftline Content
Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. I collected a dozen plastic bottle caps
Natural Changes
Erosion of vegetated foredune, Newly exposed roots/trees falling.
Actions & Comments
Beach was clean; sand has built up in some areas, which seems counter to what usually happens on this stretch of coast in the winter

Storm damage for this mile seems mostly at Laurel/Sijota; Morris Excavation has built a roadbed parallel to the bluff for equipment access; some erosion at World Mark, north of state park.
