We walked on the beach by ourselves (2 of us and one dog). The other people we saw came over the dune, looked at the water and left, except for the surf fisherman.

we saw almost no garbage, which makes me think most of it is buried under the sand, for now. This mile usually has lots of plastic garbage.

Summary:

The beach was mostly deserted and there were few birds.  We saw one seal peeking over the whitecaps at us.
