Report Details

I arrived at Seven Devils Wayside on New Year's Day to take photos for the King Tide Project, precisely at 11:03 am, tide was 8.76. After waiting for about an hour for the tide to recede, I walked Mile 111. While waiting, I was entertained by a porcupine foraging on the bluff with the picnic tables. I'll include a photo of a visitor daring to get a little closer than I thought was wise. The wind was very calm this day and temperature mild, making for a delightful walk. I also came across a driftwood structure of a raft, apparently made by someone planning to make their escape. I'll include a photo of that, too, just for fun. . . You never know what you're going to see down here - a day at the beach tends to bring out the creativity in people! Finally, I'd like to thank the kind soul, or souls, who took it upon themselves to clean up the litter they found on the beach, as was evident by seeing it stacked neatly by the trash can by the park sign. I'll include a photo of that as well, to document the type of litter that can typically be found while strolling along this beach. (Note: I drastically downsize the photos I upload here - higher quality photos are always available if anyone is interested.)
