Generally, the sand and driftwood have been washed out by heavy surf, but in some areas sand has built up. Some evidence of bluff erosion is present.
Conditions
Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.
Human Activities
Number of people: 25. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 5. Sitting: 10. Tidepooling: 10.
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.). Picked up some fishing line, the remains of a fishing reel, and some scrap metal
Natural Changes
Newly exposed roots/trees falling, Visible retreat of solid bluff. Bluff at South end of mile shows additional erosion and exposed tree roots. Most driftwood has been washed out. Sand has built up in some areas, and washed away in others exposing rock

Exposed loose rock and bedrock on beach; cause assumed to be sand washed off beach due to heavy surf over previous days/weeks.
