Mile 182 Report
Roosevelt Beach, Ponsler SW, China Creek, Big Creek
March 21, 2014
There is very little cobble on the beach, and a lot of sand.
Report Details
There is very little cobble on the beach, and a lot of sand. Even the basalt outcropping about a quarter of the way up the beach is nearly obscured by sand. Also, perhaps due to wind and sand, the beach seemed quite scoured, only scattered dried small pieces of seaweed or shell fragments here and there. No dead birds, primarily very small woods along the wrack line with only a few pieces of small plastics mixed in now and then. A bit of a moonscape.

Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 2.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 2. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 2. It was a beautiful day today; surprising that there were not more people out enjoying our lovely beach.
