Took a walk on the "fossil" beach (between Coal and Wade Creeks) Sunday and came upon the pipes and the giant pile of ropes.

New bull kelp and surf grass is washing up, lots of old surf grass in the drift line; the sand is piled up, covering the rock formations, and actually diverting the outflow of Wade Creek to the south along the base of the bluff for over 100 yards before it turns west to the ocean.

I first attempted to do this survey on 4/18/14 at at 4-5' tide, since I have previously been able to access the entire mile at up to 6'.
