The Hauser Sand Road (Photo 2) is 2.5 miles of deep, soft sand from the Hauser ATV Staging Area (fee area) over the dunes to the beach at Mile 135. It's primarily used by ATVs, but is OK for high-clearance street-legal vehicles with very wide tires, too. It's more

  • It's a "road" in name only -- just soft, deep sand, 10 to 20 feet wide. Here, it cuts through the foredune onto the beach at the south end of Mile 135.
