Pleasant day with little wind. Many people (70) out enjoying the beach on this holiday weekend. Dog walking and photography were popular with 1 group playing jump rope with a bull kelp and 1 surfer. About ten dogs.Seemed to be plenty of drift, mostly eelgrass, although Bull Kelp was common north of the point. Two beached birds, one western grebe and one probable glaucous winged gull. One large wood beam.

Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 3.0 feet.

Number of people: 70. Number of dogs: 10. Photography: 10. Surfing: 1. Other Activities: jump rope with bull kelp. Pleasant conditions and long weekend, so there were many people out enjoying the beach.

Small numbers of Dungeness crab exoskeleton pieces, broken sand dollars, razor clam.

Debris from landslide now cleared and tunnel is accessible again.

I'm filing this report because of the big landslide on the south end of the Oceanside Tunnel.

Landslide that occurred on Dec 5 has covered most of south entrance from Oceanside Beach to the manmade tunnel under Maxwell point.
