Report Details

It was a beautiful cool morning at Lost Creek with a number of people searching for rocks near the creek. About 1/2 mile north of the creek was a very large eagle roosting on a tree. We took several pictures as we continued to walk. The eagle was in the same spot when we returned and as we left the parking area headed to Newport he was still in the tree. Quite a thrill!

We have noticed that during the winter storms the sand on the beach moves (presumably offshore) and then is redeposited during spring.
