Report Details
Not much happening. Some erosion at the south end of the mile where there usually is during the winter. Few sea lions of any type. A lot of Harbor Seals including the first pups of the year(The limited beach area on this mile is closed this time of the year due to pupping). There were 2 male and 2 female Elephant Seals. Also, 2 adult Bald Eagles which I have observed in the area all week. Saw 1 Brown Pelican and 1 Osprey.

Number of people: 6. Other Activities: watching wildlife. People were watching for whales with no success.

Notable Wildlife
Very few Stellar Sea Lions, a few California Sea Lions, many Harbor Seals including 3 pups, and 4 Elephant Seals (2 male, 2 female), 2 adult Bald Eagles have been in the area all week. Saw 1 Brown Pelican and 1 Osprey today.

Shore Acres State Park is a lovely place, with beautiful vistas and hiking trails, hundreds of marine mammals visible at Simpson Reef Overlook, and a wonderful botanical garden.

A lady sketching seals and sea lions from the Simpson's Reef Viewing Area pointed out an Elephant Seal with two pups.
