Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Oregon's Beach Bill, and the birthday of former Gov. Oswald West (born May 20, 1873), who first preserved Oregon's beaches for the public, by learning about citizen science and hands-on stewardship for our shoreline. Come out and explore the coastal edge with the Surfrider Foundation PDX Chapter, Friends of Cape Falcon Marine Reseve and other local community partners. Learn about all the different citizen science projects focused on monitoring and protecting Oswald West State Park and the Cape Falcon Marine Reserve. Learn about how to protect the Oregon we all know and love!
