History of Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition

Oregon Shores was created in 1971 at the kitchen table of Bob Bacon and his family, four years after the passage of the Oregon Beach Bill – which Mr Bacon was instrumental in getting passed. Phillip Johnson, executive director of Oregon Shores, shares the story of one of the earliest conservation organizations on the Oregon coast. This was one program offered throughout the day on the actual anniversary date of July 29, 1971.
