Starting and ending at Florence Event Center, this family-friendly race will loop along the estuary and through beautiful downtown Florence.

Surf & Sun Walk & Run 5K Race Day Schedule of Events:
Florence Event Center: 715 Quince St, Florence, OR 97439
8:30 AM Event Check-in Starts: Check-in, pick up your bib, and your t-shirt, if you ordered one.
9:00 AM 5K Race Begins: You’ll see a giant timing arch at the west end of the parking lot. Make sure you go through the arch when the event starts to activate your timing chip in your bib.
Driftwood Shores Resort and Conference Center: 88416 1st Ave, Florence, OR 97439
10:30 AM After-Party Starts!: When you finish your race, head over to Driftwood Shores. Your registration fee includes a free brunch at our After-Party! Pick up your swag bags and enjoy the view with fellow Surf & Sunners!
Parking Instructions:
Both the Florence Events Center and Driftwood Shores have ample, free parking for over 200 cars. Please feel free to park in these two parking lots.

At Home Option
Need more than 1 day for a 5k? Challenge yourself to walk, run, or move your body however works best for you for as many miles as you can from March 10th- 21st. Embrace the spirit of adventure and the thrill of making a difference. But don’t stop there! Rally your friends, family, and colleagues to support every mile you conquer. With their donations, you’ll amplify your impact and help Oregon Shores protect coastal ecosystems, landscapes, and communities. Join us in Florence on the 21st for the after-party to celebrate your success!
Here’s a breakdown of what at-home participants will do:
Walk or run a minimum of 3 miles (just under 5 kilometers) on the coast or other natural public lands, getting your steps in and enjoying the outdoors while supporting coastal conservation.
Encourage friends to honor their walk or run by donating to Oregon Shores in support of the miles they run or walk. Participants will join our Givebutter campaign page as team members, making it easy for supporters to contribute to them directly.
Complete the registration form, including a $25 registration fee, to join. As a token of appreciation for everyone’s commitment to preserving our coastal ecosystems, participants will receive an exclusive Surf & Sun Virtual Walk & Run long or short sleeved athletic t-shirt, which will serve as a reminder of their accomplishment and dedication to the cause.
