Quiet day on the beach.  Sanderlings and a few seagulls, crab molts, salps (older and bleached) in high tide line.  One dead fish not identified.

Usual erosion of the dunes in the winter with some dune islands which we haven't noticed before.  read more

  • The new sign was about 1/4 mile south of our mile. The farthest south we have ever seen it.

Wind and waves have moved sand up against the foredunes again. Dunes that were 8 - 10 ft. tall now appear 2 - 4 ft. No disturbance of top vegetation. There was one whole jellyfish; it looked 1/4 inch thick and clear and about 5 inches in diameter. Haven’t seen them previously.read more
