Report Details

Mile 99 shows the impact of the early winter storms and king tides. There is little dry sand and some areas with evidence of runoff erosion. Some shore rocks are significantly more exposed due to sand loss. Johnson Creek on the south and Crooked Creek on the north have carved out ankle-deep paths. Johnson Creek is running directly to the ocean (rather than allong the bluff as in past years), sparing the bluff homes from erosion.
