Report Details

We finally got a break in the wet, windy, chilly weather--and this was a super end to the year on our lovely beach. A family of 3 was hauling SOLV bags full of rubbish and scads of fishing nets as we began. Other couples were just enjoying the day. Not many birds to report: just a few Snowy Plovers high in the dry sand and a gull or two in the wet sand. Logs were light along my mile, perhaps moved out by the crashing surf of late. Animal casings, kelp, small rocks and wood pieces in the driftline. Not much litter, probably because the family hauled it out.
