New River begins to fill up again, in places 100 to 150 feet wide and up to 4 feet deep (where it could be crossed without getting wet at time of last report). People seen crossed river by kayak or boat. Considerable amount of sand built up along shore. 3 carcasses of sea lions on the beach. Little trash on beach. Shells, animal casings and wood pieces in driftline. Low human impact (2)-1 walking and 1 fishing.

Stranded Marine Mammals
Total stranded mammals: 3. 3 carcasses, well rotten, presumably seal lions, not identifiable, between 2 and 4 feet long; one of them still as recent as to be of interest to turkey vultures, the other two just leather and bone.
