Report Details

2 deceased Stingrays about 300 feet apart on the southside of the beach. :( Also saw 2 impressive tree stump/root balls. Apparently people tried to make a fire bowl out of them.

Notable Wildlife

We observed 7 flying brown pelicans, seagulls in the air and standing on rock formations, and we were lucky to see one little snowy plover along the grass dunes. Couldnt get a picture, and did not see a nest. In the coastal woodland area, ( along the trail leading to the beach and in the parking lot), there were Crows, Chestnut Backed Chickadees, Orange Crowned Warbler, Song Sparrow, Spotted Towhee, White Crowned Sparrow, Golden Crowned Kinglet, Red Winged Blackbird, Hairy Woodpecker, Violet-Green Swallow, Turkey Vultures and Steller's Jay.

Dead Fish or Invertebrates

There were 2 deceased Stingrays about 300 feet apart on the southside of the beach, near the waterline. Not sure whaat kind of stingrays, maybe a Big Skate or Bat Ray? Photos attached. We did not call this in, as we were not sure who to call. ODFW?

Driftline Content

Happy to say I did not see any microplastics in the wrack line.

Natural Changes

Erosion of vegetated foredune.
