Report Details

The beaches were pretty clean this visit except for an exceptional amount of small trees and branches up with the logs at high tide line. The small landslide I've been watching on the East end of the Port Beach has slipped a bit more. There was no one on the Port Beach but 3 different people used the picnic table at the Sailor memorial while I was there. I did not include them in the count. All of the people in the count were on the Battle Rock side, as the tide was low and the tunnel accessible.

Conditions

Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Tide Level: 0.4 feet.

Human Activities

Number of people: 6. Walking or running: 6.

Driftline Content

There was an unusual amount of branches and small trees in the wrack line. Washed down streams and into the ocean during floods?

Natural Changes

Landslides/major boulder falls. I've been watching a small landslide on the bluff at the East end of the Port beach. It seems to have moved a bit more since I saw it last.

Report Images

Branches and small trees at the high tide line
Small slide on the bluff to compare with previous photos.
The tunnel to Battle Rock Beach was open but short on sand.
Somebody had a talented dog, pooping on top of this log.
