A very clean mile due to beach cleanup (SOLV) weekend just occurring. We picked up 2 empty plastic containers; also saw a vulture eating a dead seagull.

A very quiet day on our beach mile; a waning gibbous moon greeted us as we started our mile and cirrus clouds were on the horizon.

A very clean mile with only 4 other people sharing the beach with us.

An unusually large concentration of driftwood today; the dried velella velella were in the drift line and higher on the beach; along with the usual crab, mussel and crab shell there were some small shells unusual to our mile; picking up debris on our walk back south, there was an abundance of plastic bottle caps sans bottles.
