Mile 338 Report

November 28, 2012
A calm day on our beach mile with very little man made debris or driftwood.
Report Details
A calm day on our beach mile with very little man made debris or driftwood. The highlight of the walk was spotting a snowy owl perched on the driftwood; the owl flew away as we approached and then watched as we moved farther away. A larger than usual flock of shorebirds were huddled at the tide line--moving away as the water crept closer to them. Large piles of bullwhip kelp were entangled all along our mile.
