A very sunny day with lots of human and horse activity on our beach mile. We picked up styrofoam on our way back at the high tide line, but filled our large garbage bag fairly quickly and will need to go back again soon.

walked part of this mile and picked up approximately 40 pounds of debris that has come in with the high tides. there was a lot of driftwood of all sizes, plus a high concentration of very small pieces of wood.

An unusually large concentration of driftwood today; the dried velella velella were in the drift line and higher on the beach; along with the usual crab, mussel and crab shell there were some small shells unusual to our mile; picking up debris on our walk back south, there was an abundance of plastic bottle caps sans bottles.
