Major beach erosion continues, as well as shifting land shapes. Very interesting! Not surprised since there are no barriers such as driftwood or boulders to stop the natural wave erosion. Last time I was there (end of 2008), penisula had changed into more of an island, but now its back to more of a peninsula. Very fascinating how the waves keep reshaping it. Overall, peninsula land size has been greatly reduced since first reporting on it in 2007.

Notable Wildlife

Only saw a few seagulls, and a couple crows.

Natural Changes

Erosion of vegetated foredune, Evidence of wave overtopping, Visible retreat of solid bluff.

Actions & Comments

No action taken. Seems to be natural major erosion since there is little to stop wave erosion. (lack of major driftwood, or boulders, etc). No public structures, or streets in danger. However, the large areas of sandy beach grass area may be bird nesting grounds that are effected and I am not familiar with.
